Through the Veins, Straight to the Heart (2017)
A soundwalk from the suburbs of Limerick city, Ireland into the centre. With a population of approximately 100,000 people in an area of 59.2 km² this soundwalk shows the subtle transition between suburban noise and central city noise. This is a route taken multiple times daily by many residents living just outside the heart of the city. It is a soundscape that has become so accustomed to the residents ears that it has become secound nature, or background noise. The consiquence of this is the use of headphones and music to create new soundwalks n the residents regular commute into the city.
