Skagaströnd, Iceland (2019)

Shagai is a sound based installation highlighting the cultural aspects embedded within rural communities focusing on the north western Icelandic town of Skagaströnd. Skagaströnd is a fishing village of 500 citizens. Hidden in the highly touristic country of Iceland,  this community is embedded with a rich history,stories and prophecies along with hosting advanced research within the local marine biology institution. This sound installation brings life to the nordic community through the form of field recordings taken from the local choir and towns people.
